Getting started
From invitation to a first synced folder takes about ten minutes, plus the upload.
- Open the invitation email and choose a password. You will be asked to add an authenticator app for the one-time code.
- In the web app, open Downloads and install the desktop client for your system.
- Sign in to the client. It adds an Uncut icon to the menu bar or system tray.
- Choose New share, give it a name and pick a folder on your disk. The upload starts straight away.
- Open the share in the web app and choose Members to invite the rest of your team.
How long the first upload takes
It depends on your upload speed, and Uncut uses all of it unless you set a limit. The client shows the time remaining for each share.

You can close the laptop or lose the connection during an upload. It continues from the last finished block.
