Public beta opens

Uncut has a public site and a waiting list. Until now access was by personal invitation. Teams are added in batches as we bring new storage online, and beta teams pay nothing for their first 60 days.

Passwords and expiry dates for links

Transfer links can now have a password and stop working on a date you choose. Existing links are unchanged.

Upload links

Create a link that lets someone outside your team send files into a folder, without seeing what is already there.

Desktop client 0.9

Uploads now resume from the last finished block after sleep or a dropped connection, instead of restarting the file. Sync of folders with more than 100,000 items starts about four times faster.

June 2026

Backup keeps 90 days

Nightly backup history is extended from 30 to 90 days on every plan. Deleted files stop counting towards storage for their first 30 days.

Private alpha

The first four teams start syncing real projects: two post-production studios, an architecture practice and a wedding photographer.
